Pergola Builders Port St. Lucie

Pergola Builders in Riverland

Riverland is a newer master-planned community in Port St. Lucie, with several neighborhoods inside one set of gates and lakes. The lanai is standard. The rules are written.

Houses are recent production and semi-custom stucco on slab. Lanais were poured with the house. Pools and screen cages are common in the larger plans. A pergola either lives inside that cage conversation or it replaces an open corner the cage never covered. We do not design a roof that lands on a screen beam never meant to carry it. Community maintenance means the posts have to land where the landscape crew can still pass.

Western Port St. Lucie sand, filled and graded to large lakes. Footings follow that sand. The water table shows up in a summer hole. We plan for it instead of treating a wet hole as a surprise. Sun exposure is wide open on the newer streets where trees have not caught the roof yet. That is the opposite of a shaded Floresta yard.

What the visit is usually about

Screen cage or open lanai is the first question. Attached or freestanding and motorized louvers are the pages that match new construction. Southern Grove and Tradition are the other west-side pages.

Riverland’s association is not City of Port St. Lucie. Both have to say yes for a roofed pergola. Florida Building Code wind design is part of the city set. If your section of Riverland has its own sub-association, send that packet too. One approval does not cover the other.

Next step: the installation process, the services list, or the estimate form.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we hear about Port St. Lucie pergola projects.

Can the pergola use the screen cage as its roof support?

No. A screen cage is not a pergola beam. If the cage stays, the pergola is planned so it does not load those members. If the cage comes out, say so at the start. The estimate changes either way.
